<\/a>I’m an artist working as an Acupuncture Physician. Practicing my vocation is like\u00a0making\u00a0art because every treatment is an\u00a0original\u00a0one of a kind.<\/p>\n

I’ve always made paintings and I’m thrilled when someone wants to take one home.\u00a0 Grateful too.<\/p>\n

I grew up in Elliott City, Maryland in an old stone house on a hill. I chased wildcats around the yard and tried to catch them. I tromped\u00a0around\u00a0all day in the woods. I guess people in my family always made things. I’m especially proud of my grandfather who was a sign painter in the Depression. He used to paint scaled up on the side of buildings. He founded a sign company business that went on for 75 years! I love working big too.<\/p>\n

In an early photo there I am with a drawing taped to a stick. I always wanted to make and show art . It’s hard to tell when it started. I \u00a0only know I feel really happy when I’m making things. <\/a><\/p>\n

I studied English and Philosophy before taking a BFA\u00a0in Painting\u00a0from the Maryland Institute College of Art. \u00a0I went on to study Science for another year before taking a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was during this time I learned to use the Chinese herbal Pharmacopeia, apply needles,do spinal adjustments, and become well versed in\u00a0massage techniques.\u00a0 Along the way I spent time in Colorado, Alaska. New Mexico, Italy, China and now I live and practice on Miami Beach, Florida. I love natural beauty and derive great pleasure from living so close to the sea. I’ve been in private practice on Miami’s South Beach since 1993. I love my job.\u00a0 In my spare time I go into my studio and make art. I’ve shown and sold pieces from my small art studio\/ gallery since 2004.\u00a0 Recently, I’ve been\u00a0commissioned\u00a0to paint portraits with pets.\u00a0 I would also be delighted to paint portraits of your home.<\/p>\n
